Piano Class

Borne to Create uses Piano training to identify with students intrapersonal and interpersonal social emotions skills. We incorporate culturally responsive music diversity to display how emotions are shown and felt in one’s body as an individual and group. The classes offered are to promote technique while valuing oneself, cooperation and provide opportunities for relationship developing skills and cultural social awareness to empower both boys and girls to express an array of potential hidden emotions. Students will be given tools to unleash their creativity musically and be able to participate in giving ideas and self-management to bolster self-esteem while reducing anxiety. Whether you want to play for enjoyment, school plays, or auditions, our teachers will help you reach your full potential by being able to induce emotions, which will boost not only mood, but also a sense of purpose, while alleviating feelings of stress and depression. Piano lessons and practice sessions also support memory development, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.

Piano also embodies a shared identity and a sense of community.
